Sunrisers Hyderabad Enter IPL Record Books for Most Sixes in A Single Season

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are making a name for themselves this IPL season, not just with their wins, but also by setting a new record! They’ve smashed their way into the IPL history books by hitting the most sixes ever in a single season – a whopping 100!

This incredible feat happened during their match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 25th. Although SRH ended up losing the match, they achieved this record-breaking milestone regardless.

The Hyderabad team has been lighting up the IPL with their explosive batting. Openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, along with the middle-order powerhouse Heinrich Klaasen, have been absolute beasts, launching the ball over the boundary on countless occasions. This aggressive style of play has put fear into their opponents.

What’s even more impressive is that SRH achieved this record in just their eighth game of the season! They narrowly missed out on the same feat last year, finishing with 97 sixes. This year, they’ve clearly come prepared to break records.

While SRH is celebrating their record-breaking sixes, RCB is still searching for their winning ways. Despite a strong start from Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, they could only manage 206 runs on the board. Patidar was their top scorer with a well-made 50. In the chase, SRH kept losing wickets and fell short of the target, with only Abhishek Sharma managing a decent score of 31.

This win puts RCB at the bottom of the points table, while SRH sits comfortably in third place. With their explosive batting and record-breaking performance, the Sunrisers Hyderabad are definitely a team to watch in this IPL season!
