Before this match, they held the record for the fastest team fifty with 4.3 overs, set against South Africa back in 1994. Interestingly, England now holds the top three spots for the fastest team fifties in Test cricket history! Their third-fastest fifty came against Sri Lanka in 2002, where they reached 50 runs in just 5 overs.
