Rajasthan Royals vs PBKS, 27 September 2020, Sharjah

This chase is legendary! In 2020, Rajasthan Royals faced a giant target of 224 runs set by Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. It seemed almost impossible, but Sanju Samson and Rahul Tewatia had other plans. Samson smashed 85 runs in just 42 balls, including 7 sixes and four boundaries, while Tewatia turned the tide with a mind-blowing 53 runs off 31 balls, even hitting five sixes in a single over! With three balls to spare, the Royals pulled off a victory by 4 wickets, leaving everyone speechless. This chase stands as the highest in IPL history.

 

Mumbai Indians vs CSK, 01 May 2021, Delhi

This match was a run-fest! Chasing a massive 219 set by Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians needed a miracle. Enter Kieron Pollard! He played an unforgettable innings, scoring an unbeaten 87 runs off just 34 balls. His power hitting, with 6 fours and 8 sixes, left the Chennai bowlers helpless. In a nail-biting finish, Mumbai Indians reached the target on the very last ball, winning by 4 wickets!

 

Rajasthan Royals vs Deccan Chargers, 24 April 2008, Hyderabad

This chase takes us all the way back to the first IPL season in 2008. Rajasthan Royals were set a target of 215 by Deccan Chargers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. It was another close one, but the Royals had two batting stars on their side: Graeme Smith and Yusuf Pathan. Smith scored 71 runs in just 45 balls including 9 fours and 2 sixes, while Pathan smashed a quickfire 61 runs off 28 balls including 4 fours and 6 sixes. Their aggressive batting kept the Royals in the game, and they managed to chase down the target with just one ball remaining, winning by 3 wickets. Yusuf Pathan won the Player of the Match.
