The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the much-awaited schedule for the Indian Men’s Cricket Team’s home season in 2024-25. Get set for a thrilling season filled with Test matches, T20 Internationals, and ODIs!
The season kicks off in September with India hosting Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, crucial for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) standings. Chennai will be the battleground for the first Test starting on September 19th, followed by Kanpur hosting the second Test from September 27th. This is a great opportunity to see India take on Bangladesh in the longer format of the game.
Following the Bangladesh series, the action shifts to T20s as India plays a three-match T20I series against the Tigers. This will be a perfect chance to witness some explosive batting and high-octane bowling.
In October, India gears up for another Test series, this time welcoming New Zealand for a three-match battle. The prestigious WTC points will be on the line once again, with Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai hosting the Tests from October 16th onwards.
As the year draws to a close, cricket lovers can look forward to a white-ball showdown between India and England in the new year. The tour will feature a five-match T20I series starting on January 22nd, with matches scheduled across Chennai, Kolkata, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai. Get ready for some fast-paced Twenty20 action!
The England tour also includes a three-match ODI series, giving fans a chance to see some strategic play and stellar performances from both sides. Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad will be the host cities for these ODIs, starting from February 6th.
